Lithuanian UNESCO heritage display at the Center for Civil Education

In the project the viewers are interactively introduced to the main objects of Lithuanian heritage and the history of Lithuania.
The main, dominative shape on the display is a circle, that symbolizes the globality of the UNESCO heritage sites. Each of the circle reflects a particular object. A circle interactively involves a viewer and lets him or her get to know the history.
The Curonian Spit
A stylized Parnidis Dune’s hourglass is shown. It is the biggest hourglass in Baltic States. In the middle of the circle a 3D shape of clock is built-in and, when a shadow is falling from it, an imitation of a clock is created
Making crosses
The elements of a cross are given separately, thus viewers can create their own crosses.
Struve geodetic arc
LED lights mark 3 points of Struve geodetic arc, suggested by the institute of Geodesy- at Meškonys, Paliepiukai (Vilnius county) and at Gireišiai (Panevėžys county).
The tradition of song and dance celebrations
By turning two separate panels, a flicker is created that imitates dancing in circles.
The historical center of Vilnius
In the circle a tile with a word "Stebuklas" (“Miracle”), located at Cathedral Square in Vilnius, is shown. When it is rolled three times (it is said that standing on it and turning around three times makes wishes come true), the sound of a bell is heard.
Folk songs
By spinning a circle, different words from folk songs are shown and music is played. A flower in the circle is the flower of life - an element, that symbolizes connection and commonality, which is very important in folk songs, that were sung together sitting in a circle.
Zuvintai Biosphere Reserve
There are 4 sensors in the circles, and by touching them, different voices of birds are heard. The graphic illustrates tree trusses - Bukta forest, untouched by human hand.
Kernavė archeological site
By arranging circles in a right way, a topographic map of the mounds of Kernavė is seen.
Collection of Radvila archives and Nesvyžiaus library
Stylized book pages are seen, that can be arranged in a different way. It symbolizes books in the Radvila archives that have been taken into different countries and are not yet fully discovered.
The Baltic Way
The display has 3 sensors installed, which when touched, make LED light bulbs light up. They represent the trajectory of the Baltic Way. In order to trigger the mechanism, several people are needed, since one person is not able to touch all of the sensors at the same time. It symbolizes commonality and holding hands.
Mobile application
The mobile application of Lithuanian UNESCO heritage display, which occurs after scanning the QR code. The application will show all the information about Lithuanian heritage objects only after the memory game is played. The player needs to find the same circles (the same as at the display). It helps to better memorize the UNESCO heritage in Lithuania.
